At SMMIS we promote STEAM education which embraces the studies of science, technologies (digital and design), art, engineering and mathematics. We offer a number of innovative STEAM initiatives as part of our Makerspace Programme, including 3D printing, programming, micro:bits and Minecraft for Education. We encourage our students to think critically, problem-solve and collaborate in order to succeed in the future.
Our Makerspace Programme encourages creative thinking, persistence, collaboration, and problem-solving. It allows our students to try new things and use materials and cutting edge technology they may not have had access to before. Students are encouraged to pursue passions and develop new ones; to generate excitement and a love of learning. STEAM gives students the knowledge and skills to become part of a scientific and technology-based society. We have close ties with the Technion the Israel Institute of Technology) and Tel Aviv University in Israel, where students are given the opportunity to attend on-line and in person seminars to further enhance their studies.
