School Life

The world is a wondrous place and, at SMMIS, we try to include the best parts of it in every aspect of school life. A key part of the SMMIS experience is making friends across different nationalities and cultures through shared activities and interests. From athletic and artistic pursuits to cutting edge robotics, we make sure that learning is meaningful, fun and balanced with personal development for every child. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the same spirit, and to contribute to our community.

Collaborations

To enhance and enrich our student experience at SMMIS we build relationships with external organisations in Singapore and abroad. We have close ties with the Singapore Science Centre, Hash Peace, the IRO, World ORT, and the Yad Vashem. Our students participate in STEAM enrichment courses run by Tel Aviv University, and the Technion: the Israel Institute of Technology.

Our two boys attended SMMIS for 5 years, and between them covered Grades 1-7. Most importantly, every single day, they left and returned home with smiles on their faces. They thrived socially and academically. Where they needed support to develop particular strengths they were stretched appropriately, and where they faced challenges, being a small school, they were given strong, personalised support. The school also nurtured new interests that we believe will be passions for life, around sports, poetry and music. We also loved that while the school has a strong Jewish ethos, they were able to interact and form friendships with children from all countries and backgrounds. Our children will always have fond memories of their happy years at SMMIS.
